Claiming Legacy LLC (“we,” “us”) operates this website. This page explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep it in plain language on purpose.
What we collect
Information you give us: your email address and, where a form asks for it, your name. This happens when you join our email list, unlock your full audit result, or submit a form on this site.
Your audit answers: if you take the free audit and choose to unlock your full result, your result (the result derived from your answers) is linked to your email so we can deliver and personalize what you asked for; your individual answers are never linked to your email or to you. When you open your result, we also keep one anonymous copy of the answers themselves, with nothing that could connect it to you, so we can keep making the audit and the tools better. Until you enter your email, your answers stay in your browser and are not sent to us.
Technical basics: like most websites, our hosting keeps standard server logs (things like IP address, browser type, and pages visited) to keep the site running and secure. We also use basic analytics to understand how the site is used in aggregate.
How we use it
To deliver what you asked for: your audit result, the walkthrough, and the emails you signed up for. To personalize what we send: your result shapes which starting point and topics your emails focus on. To run and improve the site and tools. We do not sell your information, we do not rent it, and we do not share it for third-party marketing.
Email and our email provider
We send email through Kit (formerly ConvertKit). When you join our list, your email address and the preferences connected to it are stored with Kit, which processes email on our behalf. We use confirmed opt-in: you confirm your address before we send you anything beyond that confirmation. Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing works immediately.
If you come in through a friend’s personal link, we note that on your record so we can thank them. We never tell them who you are.
Who we share it with
Service providers only: Kit for email, the company that hosts this website, and Google Fonts, which supplies the fonts our pages display. They process your information to provide their service to us, nothing more. We would disclose information if the law genuinely required it.
When a page loads its fonts from Google Fonts, your browser connects to Google, which sees your IP address and basic browser details. Google never receives your email, your audit answers, or your result.
How long we keep it
For as long as you are subscribed, or as long as needed to provide what you asked for. If you unsubscribe, we stop emailing you. If you ask us to delete your information, we will.
Your choices
Unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email. Ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it by writing to hello@claiminglegacy.com. If you live in a region with specific privacy rights, we will honor your request consistent with the law that applies to you.
Children
This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the effective date above.
